After being accepted into CRHS chapter of NHS all members are required to sign the following pledge and to follow the bylaws. If you have any questions you may contact one of our officers or Mr. Shelly. Below are the highlights of the most important information, followed by links to important documents.
- Any member who falls below the standards of scholarship, leadership, character, or service may be dismissed from the Colonel Richardson High School Chapter of the National Honor Society. A member of the National Honor Society is expected to maintain his/her academic standing and take an active role in National Honor Society Meetings, Service Projects, and Fundraising Activities
- All chapter members are expected to attend all regularly-scheduled chapter meetings; however they will be optional. Each meeting will count for an hour towards the community service hours.
- Each member will be expected to complete at least 8 hours of community service per each 9 weeks affiliated with the society. Service can be earned by participating in NHS Service and Fundraising Events or by service done outside of school. To obtain credit for service that was not done as part of a National Honor Society Event, please complete the Service Learning Form and submit it to an advisor or the vice president of the chapter.
- Annual dues for this chapter shall be $25.00 paid by the conclusion of the 1st semester (new and returning members).
